Lendscape achieves Carbon Neutrality

Lendscape announces Carbon Footprint Standard ‘CO2e Assessed’ and ‘Carbon Neutral’ certifications.

We recently embarked on a journey to better understand our environmental impact. Working with Carbon Footprint, a certified environmental management company, we sought to assess the impact our activities have on the environment in terms of the amount of greenhouse gases produced.

Carbon Footprint’s analysts calculated our footprint using the 2021 conversion factors developed by the UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS).

Based on carbon emission calculations and reports, we not only achieved ‘CO2e Assessed’ status, but also received our carbon neutral certification by supporting different offset programmes across the world.

The offset contribution allows us to compensate for our emissions by funding an equivalent carbon dioxide saving elsewhere in the world. We have chosen to support a Solar and Wind Power projects in India, Asia and Uruguay, a Tree Planting programme in the UK, and an initiative reducing deforestation in Brazil.

“It’s the right thing to do, but we have a responsibility to be better,” notes Todd Sproule, who, with the CSR committee, led the certification initiative at Lendscape. “There’s more work to be done as we continue on our sustainability journey, but we are proud of reaching this goal.”
Kevin Day,  Lendscape’s CEO, said, “We are committed to working towards a greener future and acknowledge that there is more that we can do, not only in our business but for the industry we serve. I am excited to see what we can achieve in our support of sustainable economic growth.”
